Iran Implements New Visa Regulations (Effective August 2025) The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced some significant changes for the issuance of visas to foreign travellers. As of August 2025, it won't be possible to travel independently in the country. Please note: Key Changes to Iran’s Visa Rules Mandatory Tour Packages All visa requests must be booked through a certified Iranian Tour Operator / travel agency with a pre-arranged itinerary. Fixed Itinerary Submission Applicants must submit a detailed travel plan, including: Exact entry/exit dates and border crossings; A day-by-day route with approved destinations.
