South West of Iran The video is about a special expedition journey to south west of Iran with Adventure Iran colleagues who came from France. They had two intensive weeks starting from the capital and after having cooking classes in Tehran, took a first class night train to Shiraz. Our guests have been to Iran before and they explored Iran Classic destinations, So on this trip they visited some unexplored parts of Shiraz and had another cooking class to learn Shirazian Traditional foods. From there they continued their journey towards Bishapur which was an ancient city in Sassanid Persia and the Ruins of Shapour Palace. The ruins and the site were registered on the list of UNESCO sites in 2018, and then continued towards Bushehr which is one of the unreachable Off the Beaten Tracks in Iran and spent a couple of nights there. The fish market, old Bazaar and historical part of the town with exceptional architecture are the most attractive parts of the city that needed to be visited. They continued the trip through the coastal road towards the west and visited a lot of attractions on their way to Genaveh. The amazing view of the Persian Gulf, the date trees and Siraaf town (Iran’s historical sea port) were some of the places they saw. In Genaveh they had a boat trip through the sea port and saw a couple of old boats which were for fishing and the old fresh market is one of the must see in this region. They also had an unforgettable trek through a canyon near the beach which was superb as it had an amazing view of the sunset on the Persian Gulf. 7 of Iran’s most famous UNESCO World Heritage sites Iran has 26 UNESCO World Heritage sites as at August 2021, with 24 of them being cultural and 2 of them natural. The first UNESCO site in Iran, Tchogha Zanbil, was registered in 1979. The latest is the Cultural Landscape of Hawraman/Uramanat, registered in June 2021. These sites are located throughout Iran, 7 of which are situated along the Iran Classic Tourism route. The Iran Classic route crosses through 5 main tourist destinations which are Tehran, Kashan, Esfahan, Yazd and Shiraz. Most travellers start this route in Tehran as the majority of international flights land in the capital although a minority of visitors commence their trip from Shiraz. There are also a few other international airports in Iran as well as the option of joining up from areas along Iran’s borders which may be suitable for some travellers. Most of Iran’s first timers usually like to visit the main travel destinations located along Iran’s Classic route. Below is a list of Iran’s main UNESCO sites on the Classic route: Golestan Palace, (2013), Tehran Jame Mosque, (2012), Esfahan (Masjed-e Jame) Naqsh-e Jahan Square, (1979), Esfahan (Meidan Emam) Historic City of Yazd, (2017) Pasargadae, (2004), Sa’adat Shahr in Fars province, (140 km north of Shiraz) Persepolis, (1979), Marvdasht in Fars province, (60 km north of Shiraz) The Persian Gardens (2011) : Ancient Garden of Pasargadae (140 km north of Shiraz), Bagh-e Eram (Shiraz), Bagh-e Chehel Sotun (Esfahan), Bagh-e Fin (Kashan), Bagh-e Dolat Abad (Yazd) UNESCO registered 9 different Iran Gardens which are scattered throughout the country. Five of these gardens are on the Classic Route as mentioned in the last item on the above list. Iran has another 57 sites which are not yet registered but are on UNESCO’s waiting list.

4X4 in Dasht-e Lut Desert In this video Adventure Iran’s expedition desert tour in Dasht-e Lut desert is shown that was planned for another Italian group who visited Iran’s deserts after their cultural tour in Iran. They had 5 days of safari with 6 jeeps inside of Lut desert. Sleeping in tents and passing different parts of the desert each day made the journey more interesting than it ever could be. they had about 600 km off road during the journey and this trip was done in November of 2018, which is one the best months to explore Lut desert. The climate was perfect on this trip as they had a temperature of 25-30 °C during the day and night temperatures of about 10-15 °C. 4x4 safari Tour in Dasht-e Lut Desert In this video you can see an expedition desert safari with jeeps in the heart of Kavir-e Lut with Italian travelers. They had the Iran's special Off the Beaten Path trip to explore unknown regions of Iran like South Khorasan as well as visiting Iran’s deserts (Dasht-e Kavir & Dasht-e Lut). They traveled with a big bus for their cultural and historical explorations. At some part of the trip and at the end of it they visited Nehbandan which is in the north of Lut Desert. From there they start their adventure for 5 days and 4 nights in the middle of the desert. Lut desert is one of the most beautiful deserts in the world since it has most of the world's desert attractions in one place. Also Gandom Berian (the hottest place on the planet) located in the Dasht-e Lut Desert might be the most famous of them all. Lut desert registered in UNESCO natural list in 2016 as the most amazing desert in the world. The season to visit this desert is from mid-autumn to early spring so for them, the day temperature was between 30-35 °C and they had a pleasant temperature during the nights. Cultural Landscape of Hawraman/Uramanat UNESCO World Heritage Site (Reg: July 2021) Hawraman (also called Uraman) is the name of the historical valley located in the mountains shared between the two provinces of Kurdistan and Kermanshah in the west of Iran. Uraman is the Kurdish word for Hawraman which is pronounced Huraaman and generally in different parts of Iran is called Uraman, Uraaman or Avroman and in ancient Persian language it means the land of Ahura Mazda (the supreme god in ancient Iranian religion). It is also the name of the mountainous region of Hawraman valley. In June 2021, The Cultural Landscape of Hawraman/Uramanat was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as the 26th tangible cultural heritage of Iran at the 44th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee. This valley is one of the main natural/historical attractions of the west of Iran and it was unknown for many years. Along the long history of the region and Kurdish people, the valley has many villages which has a unique stair like architecture. The villages are special in the way the rural areas houses many dense and step-like rows of accommodation in such a way that the roof of each house forms the yard of the upper one, making it an exceptional sight to see. The rich culture of Hawramani people which is famous for their hospitality is one of the other attractions of Uramanat and makes this destination different from other regions. From 3000 BCE Kurdish tribes have inhabited the region and have agro pastoral activity in this valley. Kurdish people are famous for being the tough guys and they are used to live and survive in the mountains for many years. Trans-Iranian Railway 25th Iranian UNESCO World Heritage site (Reg. June 2021) One of the most forgotten tourist attractions in Iran was traveling by train and passing through many scenic areas with several different and spectacular climates, that thanks to joining UNESCO World Heritage List in June 2021 with the help of Iran's cultural heritage organization it can be brought back to life. Iran has many routes on its railway line with each of them having a different historical, cultural and tourism aspect that connect all parts of this vast country's cities and villages in a different way. One of the lines that is of great global importance is this line that is the northeast to southwest line that connects the Caspian Sea to the Persian Gulf. The length of this long railway line is about 1,394 km, which is one of the most strategic railways in Iran, passing through four completely different climatic regions like the Caspian Sea, with the huge forest of Hyrcanian (UNESCO Natural site), Iran Mountain ranges (Alborz and Zagros ranges), rivers, highlands, plains and a desert (Dasht-e Kavir) and finishing with Persian Gulf which is a totally different story from all of the mentioned climates. The two new UNESCO world heritage sites of Iran (25 June 2021) Since 1978, every year, UNESCO picks a number of World Heritage Sites for their "outstanding universal value" in the two sections of cultural and natural sites. This year in June 2021, the UNESCO has picked two Iran Heritage Sites for the list alongside others from around the world. On 2021 of this year, 37 new sites have been inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage list and it’s been a big week for Iran with two historic sites achieving UNESCO status. 1.Trans-Iranian Railway The first site is an old and long Railway of Iran from the southwest of the country towards the northeast of it. This masterwork of engineering covers 1,394 kilometers, from the Caspian Sea to the Persian Gulf, and goes through 4 different climate regions and two mountain ranges (Alborz & Zagros), Tehran (Capital), Hyrcanian Forests and Iran plateau, that are home to people from various ethnic and linguistic backgrounds. The railway is now the 25th Iranian title on the World Heritage List. That makes the country one of the richest in the world in terms of protecting cultural heritage. With this new UNESCO site, Iran becomes the fifth country in the world with a railway designated as a world heritage site. The name of this famous North-South Railway in Persian is Rah-Ahan Shomal-Jonub. Iran Train Journeys is one of the special interest tours that attracts many visitors. As you may know, there are numerous railroads in Iran in each corner of the country. The trains can take you everywhere you may wish to go. There are a lot of stations along the railway line, where you can either get on or off the train to visit the area. In addition, Iran has very high-quality daytime and night trains which cover most of the popular routes. There are seven main railroad tracks going in different directions, starting from Tehran. Other major cities also connect with each other via these railroad lines. The first Iran train track was from Tehran to Gorgan city going to the north and southeast of the Caspian Sea. This route is one of the most beautiful of Iran’s railroads, which passes through spectacular landscapes, canyons, the stunning Alborz Mountains and the Hyrcanian Forests. The second route is from Tehran to Mashhad city in the northeast. As Mashhad is one of the principal cities of Iran, as well as a religious destination, many pilgrims and locals use this train track throughout the year. The third railroad track is to the northwest of Iran between Tehran and Tabriz city which conveniently connects to the Turkish railroad. The fourth route to the southwest runs from Tehran to Khorramshahr city. This train passes Ahvaz city, the capital of Khuzestan, and is one of the earliest rail routes in Iran.
