Tajrish Bazaar is one of the main highlights of Northern Tehran. There is a big fresh market, spices, old stuff and meat. Also, there is a lot of nice coffee shop in northern Tehran, which is the spots of young and teenager.
The Sa’dabad Palace Complex is another choice for today. The Sa’dabad Palace Complex is a 300 hectare complex built by the Qajar and Pahlavi monarchs, located in Shemiran, northern Tehran. The complex contains 18 palaces belonged to the royal families of Qajar and Pahlavi, in a unique and beautiful garden.
Cinema museum is also another attraction we can add in our today’s itinerary. This museum at the Ferdows Garden features exhibits on Iranian cinema in a 19th-century building.
The Niavaran Palace Complex is another highlight of the area. The complex traces its origin to a garden in the region of Niavaran, which was used as a summer residence by Fath-Ali Shah of the Qajar Dynasty, Naser Ed Din Shah, Ahmad Shah Qajar.
Touchal cable car is in northern Tehran in the base of Mount Toucahl in Velenjak neighbor. We can a number of stations and we can take the cable car to the top station. On the way there and back great views over Tehran. The top of the mountain is about 3,100 meters from about 2,000 meters at the base station. There is a good ski piste in the last station an a very nice hotel as well. Darband is another base of Touchal which is the starting point of a trek goes up to the peak and many climbers take this route during Iran’s weekend which is Thursday and Friday. There is a nice short trek with a bunch of restaurants on both sides of the trek and its a nice place for seeing local and having dinner. After our Tehran adventure tour, we will drive back to the hotel. Overnight stay in hotel. (B. D)
Tour Reviews
Hi Mike,
Thank you for arranging such a truly magical tour of just a part of your beautiful, diverse country.
From beginning to end, we were absolutely thrilled by the magnificent scenery and remarkable cities with their eye-catching monuments and superb mosques.
I’ve never eaten so well in my life or had the pleasure to taste the delicious seed-based drinks that quenched my thirst on a hot day.
Our accommodation was perfect everywhere we went, including the train journey from Shiraz to Tehran. Everyone we met was polite. It was such a pleasure to see families with small children travelling together in harmony.
The bazaars were a dream!
As already mentioned to you, Majid, our guide, was top class. I don’t think a better prepared or nicer guide can exist anywhere.
The travel arrangements from Rome to Tehran and inside Iran were perfect too including our driver, Hamid’s thoughtfulness ensuring our trip to Shemshak and airport drop-off were memorable.
As soon as I can get things on the home front in order, I’ll be looking at another of Adventure Iran’s tours. My friends are eager to join even though our climbing, skiing, camping days are over.
Once again, thank you for everything. I certainly feel rejuvenated.
I’ll be thanking your team on another occasion.
Enjoy your Friday.
Kindest regards.
Susan
