Iran Group Tours is one of Adventure Iran’s regular trips suitable for both individuals and couples who would like to join one of our fixed departure tours. All of our group tours are custom-made trips, which is a specialty of Adventure Iran and which we have performed for many years. The dates we have considered for Iran’s Group Tours are based on the Best Traveling Seasons in Iran. As Iran has a varied climate, for each season we offer a special tour with an appropriate departure date depending on the activity. All of our Iran Group Tours are for small groups consisting of 4-12 people.
We highly recommend you to book your trip 6 months before the group’s starting date. Some of our trips take place in national parks or using trains, which have to be reserved a few months in advance before the trip date. For those of you who are unable to fix your travel date with our Iran Group Tours, we could arrange it as a private tour with the price based on the number of travellers. We advise you to choose your travel date based on the best travel time for each trip.
For each one of our trips there is a Best Monts box where we mention the best traveling time to partake of the tour during the year. Please bear in mind that for trips which have activities such as hiking, mountain biking, ski touring, etc. those months are the only available ones possible. Alternatively, for cultural-historical trips which have no activity, the travel time referred to means the best climate you could enjoy based on the weather. Please remember the itinerary for individual travellers wishing to join a fixed written travel itinerary on an established date for a group tour cannot be changed or customized. This type of tour consists of travellers joining from different countries.
The group tours have been picked out from a long list of trips that we have on our tours’ data base. There are a lot of reasons that make these tours special which we point out in our group tours. Some of the group tours are very popular like our cultural Classic Iran and some of them are extremely exclusive. You won’t find such a travel plan anywhere else. These were crafted for specialist adventurous travellers who would like to experience something totally different from others. All departure dates are chosen based on the best travelling time and season for each region. Our tours’ dates are typically avoiding the local high seasons like the month of Persian New Year or during Iran’s national holiday when most of domestic tours take place.
The Adventure Iran’s Group Tours comes with a fixed travel itinerary, fixed tour price and group departure dates. It means we have already considered the type of transportation, accommodation, numbers of meals and any type of services included or excluded on your tours. All of our group tours are accompanied with an experienced travel guide. Some of the dates follow each other so there’s a possibility to book a couple of them together.
Some of our departure dates are guaranteed to leave as scheduled making it possible to book your tour trip in advance without any hassle of cancellation. Our group tours make the tour price much cheaper than a private or a tailor-made one. In addition, the journey would be more pleasant for those of you who would like to socialize with other travellers and exchange travel experiences. Travel Itinerary
All itineraries are exclusive to the Adventure Iran Company that, after many trials, errors and editing were turned into a comfortable plan for our clients. Our group tours are mostly intensive. We include so many attractions in our tour package that you have to be ready for an early start as we have long days ahead every day.
Group Size
All Adventure Iran’s tours are created with small groups in mind. The group’s size depends on the tour type and activities. In general, the group’s size would be between 4-12 people. For some of our tours such as our trekking tour, the minimum number of travellers would be 2 and the maximum is 8.
Type of Transportation
The type of transportation depends on the number of passengers which differs in each of our group tours. In general, we are using a combination of private vehicles (van and minibus), tourist bus, train and sometimes an airplane for long distance destinations. In all of our group tours’ travel itinerary we mention the transportation type and in the detailed itinerary you can see how we operate.
Lodging & Accommodation Type
Lodging is one of Adventure Iran’s main concerns for all of the group tours. Each tour has a different travel itinerary and route which might pass through urban areas, small cities and towns, villages or mountains and deserts. Depending on the route, we are using a wide range of lodging and accommodation like standard hotels, renovated caravanserais, boutique hotels, guest houses, traditional guest house, local house, mountain lodge, shelter and tents in mountains, deserts and forests.
In Iran’s main touristic destinations, we are trying to use traditional or boutique hotels which would be equivalent to a 3-star hotel. Overall, we use small-scale and authentic hotels instead of big hotels that are occupied by large travel agencies for mass tourism. We are also trying to avoid business traveller hotels. Our clients are experienced travellers who don’t want to be treated as tourists. If there aren’t any traditional style hotels available, we will be using standard small tourist hotels mostly located downtown. The price of the tours is based on twin & double bedrooms and for those who are travelling alone, there is an extra charge for single occupancy.
For the small cities or towns, we try to find suitable accommodation for our group tours. In some cities which are Off the Tourist Track, there are only a couple of lodging options available which are not very touristic but can be quite basic. In those destinations we sometimes use a guest house or any available accommodation. It may be necessary to share a room with other travellers with limited bathrooms. Please have a look at the detailed itinerary of the tour to check the type of accommodation chosen.
Age of Travellers
The travellers should be adult or at least minors travelling with their parents. As every one of our tours has a different Activity Level, we considered a physical rating according to the level of difficulty of such a tour. Please have a look to the grade system and ask any questions you may have regarding your desired tour before booking. For those of you who are over 60, we might ask some questions regarding our Challenging or Strenuous tours.
Activity Level
All trips have a level of difficulty (ACTIVITY LEVEL ) to enable travellers to choose their trips based on their endurance and physical condition.
Guiding
All of our group tours come with a tour guide. Based on the tour’s activity, we choose an expert in each field as a guide. When tours have a combination of an activity and cultural exploration, we use a mountain guide and hire extra cultural guides for each city.
Meals
In all rural/mountainous/desert areas when travellers are in the field, food is included too but in other terrains, lunch and dinner is at the travellers’ expense. In general, we provide all meals for the days when you are out of the city where there is no access to a restaurant. For the cities however, we give you the chance to choose what you would like to order. These meals are not included in the tour package. The guide will take you a to a local restaurant and based on your diet and wish, you can order your own food. Please let us know in advance when you book your tour if you are vegan or vegetarian or you have a special diet.
The Tour Price
The price of group tours is calculated on the minimum number of people, (usually 4 travellers) with the accommodation based on a twin/double room. For a solo traveller, it may be possible to find someone to share the room if required, otherwise there is a single supplement charge that is added to your tour price.
