These migrations are timed with the seasons: in the spring, the nomads move to higher elevations to take advantage of the lush summer pastures, and in the autumn, they return to lower, warmer areas to avoid the harsh winter conditions.   The Journey The journey of Kooch is arduous and can span hundreds of kilometers.
