This travel itinerary is proper for Iran first timers who would like to have a cultural-historical exploration alongside a visit to the main highlight of Iran in a short period of time. On this journey you will visit 7 of Iran’s important UNESCO world heritage sites alongside a few highlighted sites which are on the list of UNESCO tentative site (11 attractions). The travel plan designed for this trip is the famous Iran Classic Travel Route which starts from Tehran Capital to the south and ends in Shiraz city. The tour covers roughly 1400 to 1500 kilometers including urban sightseeing. The tour in general takes 8 days, starting from Tehran to the south, visiting Kashan, Isfahan, Yazd, Persepolis and finally Shiraz . From there you will fly to Tehran to catch you flight back home from IKA international airport. You will be staying in standard hotels and your English speaking guide takes you to explore the most important sites of mentioned cities. For those who are interested in getting in touch with locals we have considered a walking tour through the main spots of each city to see the local night life and an acquaintance with Persian culture and their brand of hospitality.

- The travel season along the Classic Iran Route is year-round, but the best time to travel on this famous tourist route is March, April, and May, which correspond to spring in Iran. Another ideal travel season on this route is autumn (September to November), which is particularly suitable for travelers who wish to extend their trip after the Classic Route and visit the Iranian Deserts, Persian Gulf islands or the south of Iran.
- We don’t recommend traveling from 20th of March to 5th of April as it’s the long holiday of Persian New Year in Iran.
- If you can extend your trip to more than 8 days and are interested in the same taste of Iranian culture and history, Please check tour code 251: Iran Cultural Heritage Group Tour (10 Days) or 252: Explore Iran Classic & the Taste of Lut Deset (12 Days)
