This package is suitable for anyone wishing to have a special experience of biking in the desert which is disconnects you from normal life and take you to the heart of Iran Deserts. This tour is a combination of different types of landscapes in Dasht-e Kavir. Our crew of professional desert drivers with 4×4 vehicles will support us during the biking and an expert English speaking MTB guide would be with the group during your biking tour in the desert.
The biking route is part of the old and famous “Silk Road”. We have carefully chosen a part of this route that offers different eco-systems and changes in the landscape which simply are quite astonishing. We will come across mountain slopes and flowing dried rivers as well as the magical desert with its different colors and formations that together will make this journey enjoyable, but most remarkably an adventure that will stay in the memory and grow as a wonderful experience along one’s life. We have 3 days biking tour on this trip and approximately the length of biking would be 170 km. The main part of the route is flat but sometimes for having the best views and visibility we will go on the sand dunes in the desert. Also, we will cross a few villages and oases on the way. For 2 nights we will have a camping in the oases. Depending on the season we might see semi wild camels, rabbits, foxes and if lucky enough some beautiful scorpions!!!!!!
At the end of biking tour we will drive to Yazd ancient town and we have one sightseeing city tour there.
In this tour you will walk more or less on the same route that Sven Anders Hedin, (19 February 1865 – 26 November 1952), the Swedish geographer, topographer, explorer, photographer and travel writer travelled by paddle steamer in 1886. He travelled to Persia twice in 1886 and 1890. In 1887, Hedin published a book about these travels entitled Through Persia, Mesopotamia and the Caucasus.

Day 1: Arrival to Tehran

Travelers arrive with different airlines and check-in to a hotel in Tehran. The first day will be free. Depending on your time of arrival, you’ll likely have free time to relax, get adjusted and explore in the capital. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Tehran city tour

After breakfast we will have Tehran sightseeing and city tour. We spend all day visiting the capital attractions. Before noon we will visit the National Museum of Iran and Golestan Palace. In the afternoon we will go to Artists Park “Park-e Honar Mandan” for a vegetarian meal. You will be able to spend some time walking around the park after lunch visiting its attractions depending on your interest. We will spend a couple of hours there. Most of the times there is painting and photography Show/exhibition inside the park as well as a theatre and cinema hall. Also, there are a few good coffee shops for refreshment. In the late afternoon we will back to the hotel. Overnight in Tehran. (B)

Day 3: Tehran – Kashan – Esfahan

Today we drive south towards Esfahan into Iran’s mountainous and desert interior. On the way we will visit Noosh Abad Ancient Underground City called Ouee and its castle. We will also visit the significant ancient site of Sialk dating back to 3000 – 4000 BC and the historic Royal Gardens of Fin where was built for Shah Abbas. In the late afternoon we will arrive Esfahan and check in to the caravanserai outside of Esfahan city. Overnight stay in renovated caravanserai. (B)

Day 4: Esfahan exploring

After breakfast in early morning, we will drive to Esfahan which is take 45 minute (80 km). We are going to start our city tour visiting Naqshe Jahan Square, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, Imam Mosque and Aali Qapu Building. All these sites are in the UNESCO’s world heritage list. Around the Naqshe Jahan Square there are many shops selling Esfahan’s beautiful handicrafts so it would be a great opportunity for those who wish to buy some of them. We will have lunch in a traditional restaurant and then will continue towards south of the city to visit Chehel Sotun (Forty Pillar) and Hasht Behest (Eight Heaven) building. Later we will go to visit Zayandeh Roud (Zayandeh River) where we will also visit two of Iran’s historic bridges Siose Pol (33 Bridge) and Pole Khajoo (Khajoo Bridge). Zayandeh Roud is an ideal place to take some photos in the river’s sunset along with the two bridges. We will back to the caravanserai and you will meet your MTB guide in the late afternoon. You will have a brief session about the journey; get your bikes. Checking and fixing your bikes and supply. Overnight stay at hotel. (B

Day 5: Biking day in Central Desert

We plan to set off by 5 O’clock. Here we will start biking towards the east. We will start on fairly flat ground to get used to the conditions. (B)

Day 6: Biking- tough day

6.00 A.M wake up for breakfast and start biking towards another hidden oasis still alive. Today we will see a different type of flat desert with a different formation “white & milky Salt Lake”. (B, L, D)

Day 7: Village cycling

Today will be a mix of cycling and off-road biking day. We will be on a paved road for a segment of the route. These are isolated local desert roads with little traffic and finally we you will be driven to Yazd historical city. We will be there around late afternoon. (B, L)

Day 8: Yazd city tour

After breakfast you will have a full day sightseeing tour in Yazd visiting most touristic attractions such as important Zoroastrian sites of Dakhmeh (Old cemetery & tower of silence), the Fire temple, Amir Chakhmagh complex and the main Grand Mosque next to bazaar. Next comes Rokn-o- din Shrine and the old prison named after Alexander Prison. We stay one more night in the guest house in Yazd. (B)

Day 9: Departure- Transfer to Tehran

You will have breakfast in the guest house. This is last day of the tour and will be finished in Yazd. You can continue your journey to the next destination.
