There are many mountains in Iran having their own attractions and beauty. Some of them are famous and some are still unknown. The trip is a tailor made trekking through non touristic area and it comes with 6 days trekking alongside the most attractive high peaks of central Alborz Mountain ranges. This chosen route is one the best areas in the country for trekking in terms of wildlife, flora and fauna, mountain landscapes and villages. This route is totally off the beaten track and has created by Adventure Iran. Trekking on this route does not need any technical gear and you don’t need to be a professional climber. The trekking area has in two different regions and climate, mountain climate and Caspian climate. The starting point of the trek is Shemshak ski resort which in 50 km northern Tehran and we will finish the trek in the coast of the Caspian Sea. In the beginning of the trek you will experience dry and pleasant weather of southern part of the Alborz Mountains and in the mountain on the ridge before the forest you will have cold climate of the of the high peak of Alborz Mountains while after crossing the mountains towards the Caspian Sea you will experience humidity and weather of Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests. We will start from 2700m and will finish in – 28 m below the sea level on the Caspian Sea coast. On the trekking route we will cross many mountains and passes over 3000 m. The highest point of the trek is a pass in Azadkuh with 3900m height. Also on the pass there is an option to climb the Mt Azadkuh (4400m) which is the highest peak in central Alborz Mountains. We will continue the trek through ridges of Alborz Mountain from the southern to northern part to reach the forests in the Caspian Sea region. On the way to the north we will visit a couple of interesting villages like Kandelus historical village. The last day of the trek is only in a tight forest which is totally different with our other days. it might to see some animals in the forest. After crossing the forest, finally we will arrive to the shore of the Caspian Sea by foot and you can touch the sea! After one night rest in the coast we will back to the capital by bus (5-6 hours). In this trekking adventure we only carry our day pack with water, a light lunch and snacks. All other stuff will be carried by mules and cars. We can catch your bags every evening in the camp area or local house. Total length of trekking will be around 120 km. This travel is suitable for experience hikers, as difficulty of this trip is strenuous. During early spring and early autumn the weather is not stable and it make the journey a bit challenging and travelers must to be prepared for the situation. Average hiking time is depending on the group speed but we have between 8 to 12 hours hiking per day.
