This tour package is arranged for backpackers who prefer having an activity of desert trekking in the central desert of Iran (Dasht-e Kavir). Most travelers travelling to deserts miss out many attractions and only stay in guest houses while there are a lot to see in a desert. We will have a couple of group tours in a year for this tour as we handled for many years this tour. The desert trekking tour officially will start the second day on this tour, but we will provide transfer from Yazd to desert which is the starting point of our desert trekking tour. All transportation of this package will be handled by us which is the combination of a cab from your hotel to the bus terminal, bus ticket and private local car from a town in the desert to an oasis inside of the desert as well as 4×4 car to handle your backpacks to transfer to the camp area. The package is a special desert trekking tour put together for those who like experiencing a comprehensive trek in the heart of the Iran Central Desert. In the desert, you will have one and a half day walking inside of the desert as well as an amazing night with millions of stars in the desert night. For the trekking part, we will arrange a local guide in the desert and transfer your backpacks and camping gears with 4×4 vehicle. After finishing the desert part, we also again handle the same transportation type as you head toward Esfahan as well.

Day 1: Travel to Khur by bus from Yazd

A taxi will pick you from your hotel in Yazd at noon time towards bus terminal for travelling to Khur. The driver will provide your bus tickets to Khur. Once you are in Khur in the late afternoon, our local driver will pick you up to the guest house taking an hour to an oasis inside the desert. After checking in to the guest house and taking some rest, we will have a traditional dinner followed by a calm sleep to have enough energy for tomorrow trekking. (D)

Day 2: Full Day trekking

Trekking will start after breakfast. The length of trek is between 10 to 20 km taking about 4-8 hours depending on the fitness of the group. On the trekking route, we will stop every now and then to rest and take photographs from spectacular and amazing sand dunes. After a light lunch on the route the journey will continue until evening. We will set up our camp in the desert and after a short rest, we would leave for watching sunset in the heart of the desert. In the early night darkness, we will have dinner and would have some time to watch the stars and enjoy the quietness. We will make a fire in the evening. After dinner it will be a great time to watch millions of stars above your head. (B, L, D)

Day 3: Half day trekking – Bus to Esfahan

After breakfast, camp will be collected and trekking will continue for a couple of hours to the oasis where a driver we will pick us up to the bus terminal. There, you can take a shower and have some rest after lunch. Afterward one hour drive from the oasis take us to Khur bus terminal. You can continue your journey by public bus to Esfahan. We will provide you booking a bus ticket from Khur. You will be Esfahan in the Evening. (B, L)
