This particular tour offered by Adventure Iran, is one of the most creative and efficient classic tours designed for travelers who have limited time for visiting Iran and would like to include a couple of days hiking added to their classic cultural/historical itinerary. You will start your trip from Shiraz which is in south of Iran, then proceed northwards towards Esfahan where the trip ends. You will visit 6 UNESCO world heritage sites located in Iran’s 3 key historic cities. We have paid particular attention to lodging where in the cities you will be staying in historically significant traditional Persian houses, converted for lodging purposes as well as one unforgettable night stay in the most beautifully renovated caravanserai.
The uniqueness of this travel plan is the opportunity to hike 2 days through the picturesque foothills of Zagros range with spectacular views of the highest peaks. During the hike travelers will have the unusual chance to visit off the tourist trail villages and tribal areas. During this period, they will have sufficient time to socialize with locals and get a glimpse of their way of life. Overnight stay in these villages will be in local houses with home made cooking.
This trip has moderate level of difficulty. We operate this trip from March to November. The best months are April, May, June, October and November.
The trip ends in Esfahan with a transfer to the city’s international airport included.
