This tour includes four parts; Skiing, trekking in Alborz Mountains, village exploring and desert trekking camping in Iran central desert ”Dashte-e Kavir”.
Iran is a mountainous country offering fantastic pistes. A famous piste is Dizin which is located in the Central Alborz Mountains in north of Tehran. Driving time is about 2 hours from the capital city. The resort has a reputation for excellent powdery snow, high altitude (one of the world’s 40 highest ski centers) and the north facing slopes. Snow depth average is 1.5 meters (5 feet) at the base and double that on the upper slopes. Dizin’s climatologically condition offers the longest time for skiing from mid December to the end of March due to the expansion of the region.
Kandelus is a mountainous village perfect for trekking and watching spectacular scenes. We will explore Alborz Mountains, Caspian Sea, south face of Damavand Mountain and Larijan mineral hot spring before heading to a different climate to visit the Central Desert. We will camp in the desert and visit historic city of Kashan before fly back home.

Day 1: Arrival Tehran – check in
Travellers arrive with different airlines and check-in to the hotel in Tehran. The first day will be free and depending on your time of arrival, you’ll likely have free time to relax, get adjusted and explore in the town. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Dizin, full day skiing and return to the village
Depart from Tehran to Dizin ski resort by a private vehicle. You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning around 6 AM. It takes two hours to reach to the Ski resort. On the way to the piste you will stop in a village for breakfast. In this village you can put your extra stuff in the local house before driving towards the ski resort. After a full day skiing in the resort in the afternoon you will be driven back to the village. When you arrive, you can get some rest and then prepare for an optional short walk in the village in the night time. You will enjoy the birds singing and the river. Then we will come back to the house preparing the dinner. Sometimes we make a night fire enjoying its warmth in the village. Sleeping is in a shared room on Iranian traditional style mattress. (B, D)

Day 3: Full day skiing & drive to Kandelus
We will rise up early in the morning, after morning coffee and breakfast our driver will take you to the ski resort. Today You will have another full day skiing in the pist. In the afternoon the driver will pick you up from the pist to the village to grab your backpack and getting ready to leave for Kandelus. In Kandelus we will stay in our mountain local house having a traditional dinner beside the fire place.

Day 4: Trekking in Central Alborz Mountains
Early in the morning after the breakfast we start trekking from the village towards the amazing mountains. We will hike through the village and forest to reach the source of water in Kandelus. The hiking would be about 4 hours in the valley watching amazing views of many villages around the mountain. We will have lunch at a convenient point and after some rest we will hike back to the lodge in the late afternoon. (B, L, D)

Day 5: Exploring tour
Today is a tight day as we have many places to visit in our agenda. After breakfast first things first we will explore Kandelus village. Apart from the architecture of the village which is wonderful, there is a historic musem worthwhile paying a visit. Then we will drive from the village to the Caspian Sea through a beautiful road inside the forest. On the way we will pass many villages viewing the different colors of the Alborz Mountain. Some parts of the forest are dry and brown and as we get closer to the sea the colors will change to green. After a short visit of the coast of Caspian Sea we continue driving through Haraaz road towards Larijan village. We will arrive Larijan hot spring in the late afternoon. Overnight stay in hotel. Day 6: Mt. Damavand photography and desert camping
Wake up call is 6 AM and after breakfast we will drive from Larijan to Maranjab Desert in Iran Cental Desert. On the way, first we will visit the Mt. Damavand south face from the base camp. After photography we will kick the road towards the desert. On the way we will stop at the famous Salt Lake, it’s one of the big mirrors of the Iranian plateau. Then we will continue the road to an old caravanserai in the heart of the desert. Afterwards we will make our camp in the desert enjoying the silence. We will prepare our dinner and sleep in the tent overnight. (B, L, D)

Day 7: Exploring Kashan historic city
After breakfast we will have a half day trekking in the desert towards a dry lake and then will come back to our camp. we will collect the camp and then drive to Kashan. In Kashan first we will check-in to a traditional house and after lunch we will enjoy a walking tour of Kashan. We will visit the historic city and all its interesting landmarks including the Grand Bazaar, Abaasi, Tabatabaee and Ameri traditional houses and Agha Bozorg Old Mosque. Overnight stay in the traditional hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Fin Garden & Noosh Abaad underground ancient town
After breakfast, we will drive to Noosh Abad having a short visit of the ancient town under the ground. Then we will drive to the Fin complex containing several houses, a traditional bath house and a large garden. Next would be visiting the Sialk ancient mounds and Ziggurat dating back between 5000 and 6000 years. We will drive back to the hotel for lunch and then check out. Departure to the IKIA International Airport.(B)
