There is a great opportunity to have a short visiting of Iran with many activities with a small sense of village and different region. The tour has 2 days skiing in the best ski resort of Iran “Dizin” and one day trekking in Central Alborz Mountain and one day exploring and sightseeing in different region: Kandelous historical village, the Caspian Sea and Larigan mineral hot spring spa and photography of south face of Mt. Damavand.
Iran is a mountainous country offering fantastic pistes for skiing as the result skiing in Iran is getting popular for Iranian and other countries. One of the most famous one is Dizin which is located in the Central Alborz mountains north of Tehran. Also there are two other fantastic pistes Darband Sar and Shemshak. Driving time is about 2 hours from the capital city. The resort has a reputation for excellent snow often like power, high altitude (one of the world’s 40 highest ski centers) and the north facing slopes. Snow depths average 1.5 meters (5 feet) at the base and double that on the upper slopes.
Dizin climatologically condition offers the longest time for skiing normally begins in (Mid Dec. -End Mar.) Because of the expansion of the region.
Most travelers visiting Iran and Tehran during the winter and would like to go to Alborz Mountain for skiing.
It would be a good idea to escape Tehran and relax in the villages nearby for a couple of days skiing. From the city, less than one hour drive will get you to the village we have chosen for your accommodation. In this village you will experience fresh weather and calmness forgetting the pollution and noise of Tehran. The altitude of the village is around 2000 m from the sea level and is covered by mountains of Central Elburz.
The untouched landscape, river, sounds and colors of nature in a non-touristic area makes good memories for ski your holiday. Depending which ski resort you would like to go, from the village it takes between 30 to 45 minute to the ski resorts.
We can perform this tour in the winter and beginning of the spring. The season for Dizin Ski resort start generally around mid-December and will finish end of March. The season for Shemshak and Darband Sar is shorter and depending the volume of the snow for the year.
Although temperature in winter is cold but has its own beauties. The village and mountainous areas are so quiet, suitable for those who wish to escape from Tehran for a couple of days and experience a short hiking in Central Elburz. If you are travelling in winter be ready for very cold weather and freezing nights. We can provide some equipment for you in the winter time if you inform us in advance.

Day 1: Drive to Dizin, full day skiing and return to the village

Depart from Tehran to Dizin ski resort by a private vehicle. You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning around 6 am. It takes two hours to reach to the Ski resort. On the way to the piste you will stop on the village and have breakfast and you can put your extra stuff in the house. Then drive towards to the ski resort. Full Day’s skiing in the resort and in the afternoon the driver pick you up from the piste and send you to the village. When you arrive, first you will get relaxed in our place and then prepare for the optional short walk in the village in the night. You will enjoy the birds singing and the river. We will come back to the house preparing the dinner. Sometimes we make a night fire enjoying its warmth in the village. Sleeping is in a shared room on Iranian traditional style mattress. (B, D)

Day 2: Full day skiing & drive Kandelous

We will rise up early in the morning, after morning coffee and breakfast our driver pick you up from the village and send you to the ski resort. You have full day skiing on the piste. In the afternoon the driver pick you up from the piste and you will come back to the village and take your backpack and drive to Kandelous. We will stay in the Kandelous mountain lodge and we have a traditional dinner with fire place inside of the lodge. (B, D)

Day 3: Trekking in Central Alborz Mountain

Early in the morning after the breakfast we start trekking from the village towards the amazing mountain. We will pass the village and forest to reach a source of the water in Kandelous. It take 4 hours hiking in the valley and we have amazing view of many villages around the mountain. We have a lunch in the mountain and after a take a rest we will come back to the lodge in the late afternoon. (B, L, D)

Day 4: One exploring tour (Kandelous village, Caspian Sea, Larigan hot spring and Damavand south face)

Today is a tight day and we must to visit many places regarding to the planned. After breakfast first we will visit village of Kandelus by walk. There is a special historical museum and also the architecture of the village is wonderful. Then we will drive from the village to the Caspian Sea through an amazing road inside the forest. On the way we will pass many villages and we will have different color of the Alborz Mountain. Some part of the forest are dry and brown and close to the sea color will change and would be green when we arrived to the Caspian sea. After short visiting the sea we continue driving through Haraz road towards Tehran. On the way we will have stop on Larijan Hot spring and also we will go on Mt. Damavand base camp for photography. We will arrive Tehran in the evening. (B, L)
