A truly memorable and adventurous journey that includes the winter activity of skiing, immediately followed by a desert trekking journey conducted in much warmer weather.
There are 3 full days of skiing; next you will travel to the historical city of Kashan visiting all the important sites. We will stay the night at a renovated old historical residence getting served with a wonderful local cuisine. We will then enter the desert proper spending the next 4 days trekking through a very interesting, scenic and eventful part of the desert accompanied by a caravan of camels. The last night will be spent at Ateshooni guest house (ateshooni.com) located in the desert oasis of Garmeh. There will be more local cuisine and live music performances. We will proceed towards the city of Yazd, the quintessential desert city of Iran with its unique architecture and Zoroastrian heritage. Along the way we will pass and visit several caravanserais as well as a Zoroastrians sacred pilgrimage site with the name of Chak-Chak. In Yazd we will stay at a 120 year old residence of a famous person with several interior courtyards and many rooms. It has been lovingly restored
