4×4 exploring of Damavand Second camp

Damavand is famous among climbers for ascending to the peak, but it has some offerings to explorers as well. It is the highest peak in the Middle East and second highest volcanic in Asia (after Kunlun volcano in Tibet). Damavand is an active volcano with 16 climbing routes. Each of these 16 routes would offer different views and attractions from its peak and surrounding area. On and around this vast mountain, there are different villages and nomads living. These people live with this mountain and their lives would be nothing without the generous offerings of this mountain. These locals breed ships and goats and make honey from bees. In fact, getting to know more about the lifestyle of these people is one of the main highlights of this trip. For those who are in love of nature, there are different flora and fauna to see and enjoy. On this trip the main focus would be on the south face of the mountain to discover its attractions and socialize with people living there. We will visit two villages of Nava & Shahandasht along with visiting Larijan and its hot spring spas. You will also enjoy half a day 4×4 driving to the second camp (3000m).

Day 1: Drive from Tehran to Larijan, sightseeing and photography Nava & Shahandasht

Early morning (around 6 A.M), you will be picked up from your hotel driving to the south face of Damavand. It will take about 2 hours. As you will not have a complete view of the peak from now on, we will drive off road to a village where one of the best locations for photography from peak is. We will have a short trekking around the village for about 2-3 hours and then will continue to visit Shahandasht village and waterfall. Then we will drive to Larijan town. Overnight stay at guest house. (B, L, D)

Day 2: Transfer to Camp 2 & drive back to Tehran

After breakfast, we will have sightseeing around the village and then will drive to Damavand second camp with our 4WD vehicle. The second camp is called Goosfand Sara (3000m). You will have time for photography and walking around the camp about 2 hours. We then rejoin our 4WD vehicle for driving back to Raineh from where we continue back to Tehran to your hotel. (B)
