This tour is one of the most attractive tours offered by Adventure Iran. In this program you will have enough time for trekking in Alborz Mountain range, explore the villages around, taste local cuisine, socialize with local people and stay in their homes. The tour is a combination of trekking and exploring. In the first part, you have three days trekking from Alamut Valley towards the Caspian Sea which would be an ideal part of the journey for hikers. During trekking, you will pass many villages, waterfall, canyon, rivers and of course the Castle of Assassins in the Alamut valley. After trekking when you reach the Caspian Sea you will continue the second part of the journey with a vehicle. In this part you will visit most attractions of Gilan in the northern Iran in the Caspian Sea region. Gilan is the name of the province and Rasht is the Capital, the largest city of the Caspian Sea littoral region. Gilan is very famous for its organic foods, one of the best places in Iran in terms of vegetarian foods. In Gilan province, Lahijan is well known for its high quality tea so we will visit tea farms and a tea production factory. You will visit Ramsar, the famous city for Wetland convention, visiting Ramasar Palace and the museums. There are so many attractions and many activities in this colorful part of the trip such as visiting the villages around, taste local cuisine, socialize with local people, staying in their homes and boating in the lagoon. You will also visit Masuleh, a historic village, attracting many tourists because of its architecture and people. Masuleh is surrounded by forest from valley to mountain and fog is the predominant weather feature. The other highlight of the trip is visiting the Rudkhan historic castle a medieval brick and stone castle built on top of a mountain.
We will also visit Gilan Rural Heritage Museum (Legacy of Old Houses) to get the feeling of tradition, history of people and their customs. To perform this tour we work with local people and their facilities to generate some income for them and increase their quality of life, therefore we appreciate them for their support and help which enables us to offer such a trip.

Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival in Tehran, a representative will greet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. (B)

Day 2: Free day in Tehran

Free time. This day you can relax in your hotel or you can visit and explore the capital city by your own. (B)

Day 3: Tehran to Alamut Valley- Trekking

Departure from hotel after breakfast and drive towards the city of Ghazvin. Start trekking from the canyon to Alamut Castle. (B, L, D)

Day 4: Trekking day

: Today we will pick an old trail through the mountains and work our way up to another historic. (B, L, D)

Day 5: Trekking to the Caspian

After breakfast at 7:30 A.M we will hike our way through some spectacular scenery towards another beautiful and old village. (B, L)

Day 6: Explore the Caspian Sea

We have one day sightseeing and exploring tour in the Caspian sea towards Rasht. There are lots of attractions in the north of Iran, which according to the time of your travel, climate and local situation you will see some of them. (B, L, D)
