In total the tour cover 4 provinces to give you the chance of experiencing the taste of the northwest of Iran. You also visit many tourist attractions of the region along your gastronomy adventure as well. North of Iran, in the southern part of the Caspian Sea has the best high-quality rice of Iran which is not comparable with the rice of other regions. Lahijan and the district around, in Gilan province, is the center of the tea plantation of the country and offers the best tea in Iran as well. Tabriz is so famous for delicious sweets along their famous Kofteh Tabrizi (an Iranian meatball like meal) as well. Zanjan is the center of foods festivals and they have different gastronomy courses as well. Along that Zanjan is famous for varied Ash (type of Iranian traditional soup) which is super tasty and delicious. You might find the traditional meals of different regions in Tehran or other urban restaurants but the taste and type of making and the integrants used is not the same as the locals that make it in their origin. And you could find any Zanjani cuisine in other cities of Iran.

This special custom-made Iran tour is a combination of exploring the Northwest of Iran plus having a special program for tasting the traditional foods of each region and a cooking class in Rasht city. The route of the itinerary is designed for exploring the main important food centers of Iran along the cultural-historical experience of each city. The 4 main cities that are the target of this travel plan are Zanjan, Tabriz, Ardebil and Rasht. They all have their own special meals and colorful foods as well as touristic attractions and UNESCO sites. You will start your trip from Tehran and continue towards Zanjan city. Zanjan is a historical city and is famous for many different things and has one of the most important food ceremonies in Iran. After our sightseeing and the cooking program, we will continue the journey towards Tabriz which is the main city of Azari people in Iran. We will explore the city and the Bazaar which is selected by UNESCO as a world heritage site. Continue toward Ardebil and visit the city and the famous UNESCO shrine and have a taste of the local cuisine in the city. Afterward, we drive to the Caspian Sea and take the coastal road towards Anzali lagoon. You will have a boating activity in the lagoon and then it is time for photography and birdwatching through the lotus flowers. We continue our journey to Rasht city which is a UNESCO creative city and it’s the center of vegetarian foods in Iran. Rasht is the most important city for gastronomy and cooking adventure in Iran. We have different plans for this city and having a cooking class with a local guide is definitely on the program. We will visit the famous active Bazaar of Rasht. Afterward, we will drive to Masuleh historical village and walk through the narrow alleys, it is the perfect place for some photo taking. In the end, we will have a short visit to the Rasht Rural Heritage Museum and continue our drive back to Tehran.
