Iran Visa Invitation
In order to apply and get a visa for Iran, you must submit your personal information and passport details to an authorized Iranian travel agent or tour operator company. Once the agency receives your information, they apply online to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) to get your Visa Approval (Visa Grant Notice). Normal processing time by the MFA is 7-10 working days and longer (3 months) for passports from ABC (American, British, and Canadian) nationals. Your visa will then be processed and if approved an authorization number (Visa Grant Notice) will be sent to the Iranian embassy you nominated to have it picked up at. You could also choose an Iranian International Airport to collect your visa. In addition, the MFA will send a PDF file of your visa result to your travel agent. Your travel agent will then email you Visa Grant Notice “PDF”. Having Visa Grant Notice code means that your visa has been approved by the MFA but it is not the visa itself. Obtaining the visa and insurance (optional) is generated by the Iranian embassy in your country. Charges will apply.
