What about Iran and the foothills of the snow-capped Mt Damavand (5,610 metres, the highest mountain in the Middle East) just 85 km from central Tehran?

Located in the beautiful Lar National Park, there’s a race for everyone: ultra 102km, 58km and 18km. The start is at the mountain refuge Polour managed by the Mountaineering Federation of Iran and finish is at Rineh (Mt. Damavand base camp). The race route covers some of the most beautiful scenery in Lar National Park and around Mt. Damavand, including remote and unspoilt grassland, nature trails, Lar reservoir and steep hills. This is a unique, challenging and beautiful run for the trail running enthusiast and a chance to take part in an unforgettable event.

The organisers look after everything from pick up at the airport to drop off after the race. They can even organise your visa.

A 6 day package with hotel in Tehran, 1 night accommodation in the mountain refuge at the race base camp “Polour” hut, shuttle bus from the airport to your hotel in Tehran, transport to Polour (the starting point), light breakfast (12/13 June 2019), transfer after the race back to the airport.
